Jeff earned his Master of Science degree in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Connecticut in 1981. Jeff's Education was funded by the University in return for his teaching assistance in both organic and inorganic chemistry. Jeff's teaching background is an invaluable asset to Sperian Instrumentation as he educates our customers in the scientific aspects of gas monitoring. Jeff's expertise in even the most esoteric elements of gas properties and monitoring principles has earned him the nickname "Mr. Science".

Jeff is a published technical author with numerous industry publications to his credit.

Trent joined Sperian (then Bacou USA) in late 1999.  He is responsible for Sperian Instrumentation sales throughout North America.  Prior to his current position, Trent was a Respiratory and Gas Detection Sales Manager covering Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma. 

Trent holds a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University and is a Certified Safety Professional.  He has been in the Safety Industry for over 20 years and is considered an expert in gas detection applications and confined space entry.  Prior to joining Sperian, Mr. Smith worked as a Safety Engineer in the Petrochemical Industry.
